The primary symbol is a Mangopare design representing a hammerhead shark, traditionally associated with strength and leadership. The Mangopare's four heads point in four directions, symbolising the spread of the gospel on the four winds, ngaa hau e whaa, and their associated values.
The brand icon emphasises the cross within the Mangopare Motif, with the four winds radiating outward, representing the spread of the gospel and the Holy Spirit. Inspired by the waiata "Te Hari o Ngapuhi," which recounts Ngapuhi's response to the gospel on Christmas Day in Oihi Bay in 1814, the icon also draws on the metaphor of "He Poi," symbolising the gospel metaphorically "flying like poi" from Oihi to Aotearoa, aligning with the Mangopare design's concept of extending the gospel to Nga Hau e Wha, the four winds.
